Role Description Emergency Room Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs) provide comprehensive emergency care to patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of emergent and critical illnesses and injuries, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, and documenting clinical encounters clearly and accurately. The role involves timely decision-making, effective communication with patients and families, and adherence to evidence-based protocols and safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Denver, CO, requiring active participation in shift-based coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Services.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Medicine and Urgent Care for a broad range of acute presentations.
• Candidates should possess competency in Critical Care Medicine for the management of high-acuity patients.
• Current medical license (or eligibility) in Colorado and appropriate board certification or board eligibility (e.g., Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine) as applicable to Physicians and APPs.
• Graduation from an accredited medical, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant program, with completion of relevant residency or fellowship training preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, and commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a culture of mutual respect.
• Experience in emergency or urgent care settings is highly beneficial; familiarity with hospital EMR systems and quality improvement initiatives is a plus.
