RWJBarnabas Behavioral Health Center is Seeking a Tele-Nocturnist Psychiatrist!
This role provides remote psychiatric services to support PESS/crisis units and inpatient psychiatric units throughout the system. The physician responds to evaluations and requests from multiple facilities and covers evening/night shifts via remote computer/phone communication.
Key Responsibilities
- • support its PESS/crisis units and inpatient psychiatric units throughout the system
- • respond to evaluations and requests from several of the RWJBarnabas Health facilities
- • provide psychiatric services from a remote location via computer/phone on patients at RWJBH locations
- • The RWJBH Transfer Center will manage and triage communications with the physician
- • Coverage of the following shifts: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (2 days per week, as assigned)
- • Voluntary admission with or without telepsych, to include admission orders
- • Involuntary admission with telepsych to include commitment paperwork
- • Phone discussions and discharges with PESS sites
- • Phone recommendations for intervention for inpatient or PESS patients
- • Manage/start medications including PRN’s, standing, and home medications
Required
- • NJ licensed or eligible for licensure
- • BC/BE in Board-certified in Geriatric or Adult Psychiatry
