This role is a full-time noninvasive cardiology position within an expanding academic Division of Cardiology. The physician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care, interpret and supervise echocardiography and nuclear cardiology studies, and contribute to teaching, quality improvement, and program development.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care.
- • Interpret and supervise transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and structural echocardiography studies.
- • Interpret and supervise nuclear cardiology studies.
- • Participate in the inpatient General Cardiology Service and inpatient consultation service.
- • Develop and maintain a robust outpatient cardiology practice.
- • Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams across all subspecialties.
- • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary conferences.
- • Teach cardiovascular fellows, residents, and medical students in an academic environment.
- • Participate in cardiovascular fellowship education.
- • Participate in resident and medical student teaching.
- • Participate in clinical research and scholarly activity.
- • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- • Participate in development and expansion of advanced cardiac imaging services.
- • Participate in leadership opportunities within the Division of Cardiology.
Required
- • MD or DO degree
- • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- • Level II or III training in Echocardiography
- • Expertise in Nuclear Cardiology
- • Eligibility for medical licensure in the District of Columbia
- • Commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration

The successful candidate will become a fully integrated member of our Noninvasive Cardiology Section, collaborating closely with specialists in Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Structural Heart Disease, Cardiac Surgery, and Vascular Medicine.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Level II or III training in Echocardiography
- Expertise in Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC certification or eligibility preferred)
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the District of Columbia
