Thoracic Surgery Physician
This role involves providing surgical care for thoracic disease, including minimally invasive and open lung resections, benign and malignant esophageal disease, endoscopic and open airway interventions, chest wall reconstruction, and management of diaphragmatic and pleural diseases. The position also offers participation opportunities in a top tier ECMO and lung transplantation program, along with teaching at the fellow, resident, and medical student levels.
Key Responsibilities
- • Join an established practice with four Thoracic Surgeons
- • Participate in a top tier ECMO and lung transplantation program
- • Surgical responsibilities include all aspects of thoracic disease including minimally invasive and open lung resections, benign and malignant esophageal disease, endoscopic and open airway interventions, chest wall reconstruction, and management of diaphragmatic and pleural diseases
- • Teach on the fellow, resident, and medical student levels
- • Work as an employed position through HealthTexas Provider Network (HTPN), Baylor Scott & White employment group in DFW
Required
- • Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- • Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
- • Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialist
