Nocturnist Physician – Aberdeen and Bel Air, MD

We have an opportunity for a BE/BC Internal Medicine Nocturnist Physician to join our well-established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Full-service hospitalist practice at University of Maryland (UM) Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen
• Part of the University of Maryland Medical System
• University hospital with excellent specialty support
• Average 15 patients/day
• Closed ICU, our team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes
• Staffing Model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs

-Day: 10 Physicians and 7 APPs

-Swing: 1 APP

-Night: 2 Physicians and 3 APPs

• EMR: EPIC
• Beds 257
• Trauma Level – Level II
• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• Responsibilities include admissions unit-based rounding, discharges, and daily multidisciplinary rounds, geographic rounds, participant in rapid response and code team.

REQUIREMENTS

• BE/BC in Internal Medicine
• Strong inpatient skill set
• Quality-focused team player
• Experience working with advanced practice providers
• Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
• Active (state) license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration, ACLS
• Salary Range: $265,500k - $305,000k
