Provides medical assessments and evaluations, treats emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, and provides and supervises treatment for chronic medical conditions. Participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. Works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

Required
- • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
- • Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
- • Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care required
- • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and (CDS) registration
- • Ability to pass credentialing and background check
Preferred
- • Correctional Healthcare experience preferred not required

We are currently seeking a Per-diem Primary Care Physician at Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore, MD.
The Primary Care Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Primary Care Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.
