Medical Oncologist
Primarily outpatient Medical Oncologist role supported by a top-tier team of hospitalists and critical care physicians, with no direct patient admissions required. The position involves working alongside a cooperative team of radiation oncologists, breast surgeons, thoracic surgeons, and surgical oncologists, with opportunities for career and academic advancement through a partnership with Johns Hopkins Medicine. Engage in tumor boards, research projects, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

- • Work alongside a cooperative team of radiation oncologists, breast surgeons, thoracic surgeons, and surgical oncologists.
- • Engage in tumor boards, research projects, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required
- • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
- • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
- • Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine or Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Upon Hire Required
- • Certification of Added Competency in Hematology-Oncology. Upon Hire Required
- • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required
- • Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology. Upon Hire Required
- • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of Gettysburg Hospital. Upon Hire Required
- • Teaching skills.
