Key Responsibilities
- • Perform Behavioral Health medical necessity reviews and provides clinical insight through concurrent reviews, peer-to-peer reviews, and appeals.
- • Adherence with regulatory and compliance turnaround times
- • Adhere to Service Level Agreement metrics and performance guarantees
Required
- • MD or DO degree
- • Current Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- • Minimum 3 years of direct clinical patient care experience post-residency or fellowship
- • A current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
- • Experience in Managed care and utilization review is highly desirable
- • Experience with national guidelines such as MCG® is preferred
- • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid, TMS, ABA Services and DSNP
- • Multiple State Licenses
