Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Behavioral Health medical necessity reviews and provides clinical insight through concurrent reviews, peer-to-peer reviews, and appeals.
  • Adherence with regulatory and compliance turnaround times
  • Adhere to Service Level Agreement metrics and performance guarantees
Required
  • MD or DO degree
  • Current Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Minimum 3 years of direct clinical patient care experience post-residency or fellowship
  • A current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
  • Experience in Managed care and utilization review is highly desirable
  • Experience with national guidelines such as MCG® is preferred
  • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid, TMS, ABA Services and DSNP
  • Multiple State Licenses
