Hospitalist - .5 FTE
The role involves working as a .5 Hospitalist in a 25-bed critical access hospital with a 4-bed ICU, managing an average daily census of 8-12 patients. The position requires working a block schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, rotating between day and night shifts, utilizing the EPIC EMR system.
Key Responsibilities
- • Work a block schedule of 7 on/7 off, rotating between days & nights
- • Provide hospitalist care in a 25 bed critical access hospital with 4 bed ICU
- • Manage an average daily census of 8-12 patients

Required
- • Board Certified MD/DO
- • Certification in BLS, ACLS, or PALs required as a condition of employment within 30 days of hire

Ketchikan, Alaska is a friendly, family-oriented community in scenic Southeast Alaska, just an hour and a half flight from Seattle. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, cultural art aficionados or for those seeking a small-town, leisure lifestyle. Entrance to the famed Inside passage, a network of waterways, Ketchikan is on an island accessible by jet or ferry. Excellent schools, and a strong local economy, the Ketchikan community boasts an incredibly rich, native culture. The southern tip of the panhandle calls itself the Salmon Capital of the World.

Primary and specialty medical care is provided by PeaceHealth Medical Group—Ketchikan and Prince of Wales Island. Our Trauma IV emergency department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

- Hospitalist team consists of 3 full time, 3 part time and per diem pool
- 25 bed critical access hospital with 4 bed ICU
- Average daily census of 8-12
- Dedicated call room
