Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Medical Director – ACTT (Psychiatrist) to oversee the medical and psychiatric components of the Assertive Community Treatment Team in Virginia. This part-time position (2 hours a week) involves delivering direct psychiatric care and ensuring quality and compliance in medical services.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide medical leadership and consultation to ACTT team members.
- • Supervise and support mid-level prescribers, particularly in medication management and psychiatric treatment planning.
- • Collaborate with agency leadership and ACTT team leads to ensure fidelity to ACTT standards and clinical best practices.
- • Attend and contribute to daily team meetings to support client-centered care coordination.
- • Accurately document services and treatment plans in the agency's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- • Ensure compliance with all training, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- • Participate in the ongoing development of program procedures and service quality initiatives.
Required
- • Board-certified Psychiatrist
- • Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Virginia
- • Experience or strong interest in community-based psychiatry and ACTT
- • Valid CPR/BLS certification
Preferred
- • Previous ACTT experience or familiarity with evidence-based community mental health models
- • Experience supervising mid-level providers or working in interdisciplinary teams

About Us
We are a mission-driven behavioral healthcare provider serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness across a service area in Virginia. We are currently seeking a Medical Director to oversee the medical and psychiatric components of our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT). This is a critical leadership role for a board-certified psychiatrist licensed in Virginia, offering an opportunity to make a lasting impact through integrated, community-based care.
Position Summary
The Medical Director is a key member of the ACTT leadership team and serves as the primary psychiatric provider. This role is responsible for delivering direct psychiatric care, ensuring quality and compliance in medical services.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support mid-level prescribers, particularly in medication management and psychiatric treatment planning.

Qualifications
Required:
