This staff-level role involves providing expert diagnostic information and analyzing clinical laboratory data to offer professional pathological opinions. The position is on-site at a hospital and focuses on Hematopathology case sign out and service, including medical director duties and participation in hospital pathology on-call and tumor board responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- • Placed on-site at a NeoGenomics Hospital client with a focus on Hematopathology case sign out and service
- • Perform delegated medical director duties with regards to both anatomic and clinical laboratories
- • Share equally in hospital pathology on-call schedules and tumor board responsibilities
- • Perform rare adult post-mortem examinations
- • Read and interpret clinical laboratory data and provide professional consultation on clinical pathology inquiries
- • Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures and participate in departmental professional quality control and quality assurance activities
- • Assist the laboratory administrative director and Pathology Chair in delegated supervision of technical and support staff
Required
- • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy, Board certification in Hematopathology Required
- • Active unrestricted Medical License to practice in the state of FL
- • Ability to fulfill CLIA ’88 if required.
