Chief Medical Officer

Required
  • Expertise in Medicine and clinical decision making, with a strong foundation in patient-centered care
  • Experience in Utilization Management and implementing practices that ensure efficient and effective resource use
  • Proficiency in Medical Affairs, including policies and procedures that ensure compliance and care quality
  • Knowledge of Managed Care practices, including provider networks and cost-effective strategies for healthcare delivery
  • Ability to contribute to Strategic Planning for healthcare service expansion and operational enhancements
  • Leadership and team management experience, with a collaborative approach to solving complex healthcare challenges
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid state medical license; board certification required
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and familiarity with community health initiatives
Preferred
  • Experience working within FQHCs or a similar community health setting is highly desirable

Quality Community Health Care, Inc. (QCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving North Philadelphia for over 30 years. With three locations, QCHC provides preventive and comprehensive primary healthcare and dental services to its community, emphasizing accessibility and affordability. Established in 1980, QCHC was founded to address healthcare disparities in North Philadelphia. QCHC ensures continuous care for its patients. All medical services operate under the leadership of the Chief Clinical Officer.


Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Philadelphia, PA, for the position of Chief Medical Officer. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while aligning with the organization’s mission and objectives. Key tasks include managing medical staff, implementing utilization management processes, contributing to strategic planning, overseeing medical affairs, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all service offerings. Additionally, the CMO will collaborate with other executives to develop and enhance managed care strategies and health programs that address the needs of the community.
