The Clinical Director of Ambulatory Services directs, administers, and coordinates clinical functions of ambulatory patient services. This role involves planning, organizing, implementing strategies, delegating, mentoring, standardizing clinic operations, managing clinic growth, monitoring productivity, increasing efficiency, improving care, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- • Directs, administers, and coordinates activities related to clinical functions of ambulatory patient services
- • Establishes and maintains liaison between clinical staff, medical and administrative staffs to ensure effective coordination of efforts for optimal patient care
- • Planning, organizing and implementing strategies
- • Effective delegation and mentoring in a participative environment
- • Standardization of clinic operations
- • Facilitation and management of clinic growth
- • Development and monitoring of clinic productivity measures
- • Implementation of initiatives for increasing efficiency and improving care
- • Research to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies
Required
- • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a clinical team that includes nurses, supervisors, certified and non-certified staff, advanced practice providers, and physicians
- • Successful track record in building strong physician relationships
- • Ability to multi-task, and work under stressful situations
- • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication (verbal and written), customer service and organizational skills required
- • Proficient at all aspects of computer technology, including office applications, networking applications and financial applications
- • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
- • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a health care related field
- • At least two (2) years of management experience required
Preferred
- • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or Associates Degree with at least 5 years applicable clinical experience
