This role involves maintaining an independent primary care practice providing comprehensive direct patient care to general internal medicine patients. The physician will also engage in ambulatory teaching and supervision of internal medicine residents and medical students, as well as participate in clinical leadership and programmatic contributions aligned with organizational values.
Key Responsibilities
- • Maintain an independent primary care practice, providing comprehensive direct patient care to a panel of general internal medicine patients within the clinic setting.
- • Actively participate in departmental and organizational initiatives aimed at standardizing equitable whole person care and improving health outcomes.
- • Provide ambulatory teaching and preceptorship to internal medicine residents and medical students, fostering their clinical skills, diagnostic reasoning, and patient management abilities.
- • Assume direct supervisory responsibility for internal medicine residents and medical students during their clinical rotations.
- • Guide residents in the development and execution of ambulatory-based quality improvement projects, promoting a culture of continuous learning and data-driven improvements.
- • Serve as a role model for professionalism and integrate CommonSpirit Health's mission and values into all aspects of clinical practice, teaching, and leadership.
Required
- • MD or DO Degree from an accredited institution.
- • Active Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in internal medicine or family medicine.
- • Must hold or be eligible for Nevada State medical licensure.
Preferred
- • Two (2) years of ambulatory general internal medicine or family medicine experience preferred
- • New or upcoming graduates of a PGY4 IM Chief Residency or ambulatory focused fellowship (such as geriatrics, addiction medicine or palliative care) are encouraged to apply
- • One (1) year of teaching experience in graduate medical education preferred
- • Demonstrated interest and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
- • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and fostering a positive learning environment.
- • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- • Ability to mentor and inspire residents and students, translating complex medical concepts into practical, actionable knowledge.

- • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican is recruiting ambulatory core faculty for their Internal Medicine Residency Program in Las Vegas, NV. Faculty will be employed by St. Rose Dominican Hospitals (SRDH) and will practice at the Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada (DHMGN) clinic location in North Las Vegas.

- Dignity Health Wellness Center patient offerings include exercise classes, nutrition classes, healthy living coaching, social service connection services and pharmacotherapy services for patients with diabetes and heart disease
