The faculty member provides full-scope obstetrics and gynecology clinical services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, participates in clinical education of fellows, residents, and medical students, and engages in scholarly activities including research and academic presentations. The role also involves administrative duties such as attending faculty meetings and serving on committees to support departmental and university goals.
Key Responsibilities
- • Participation in the development and delivery of the group clinical practice at the Center for Women’s Health, and off-site OHSU Health Partners, including full spectrum obstetrics and gynecology.
- • Maintaining a fair-share of obstetrics and gynecology call, some of which will require on-site presence at OHSU and/or off-site OHSU Health Partners.
- • Engage in scholarly activity including educating learners, research, grant supported work, academic papers and presentations related to their field of expertise.
- • Participate in clinical research as needed, often with the help of trained research support staff and senior faculty principal investigators.
- • Provide clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations.
- • Help with clinical teaching of nurse and APP trainees.
- • Provide feedback and evaluation, both formally and informally, of learners working in obstetrics and gynecology.
- • Participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level.
- • Serve on OHSU committees and in other activities as requested by the department chair or division head.
Required
- • MD credentialed and privileged with completion of an Ob/Gyn Residency
- • Independent surgical experience necessary to provide a full-scope practice

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a General Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty provider at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level.
The faculty member is credentialed and privileged as an MD, with completion of an Ob/Gyn Residency, and independent surgical experience necessary to provide a full-scope practice. This position is a member of the OHSU Professional Staff practicing in accordance with the respective bylaws, and shall provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The faculty member is expected to comply with all laws, regulations, OHSU policy, and other applicable professional standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
Clinical Activities - Provide an outstanding level of clinical performance in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Responsibilities include:

Education - This position provides clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations. The faculty member may also help with clinical teaching of nurse and APP trainees. As part of the multidisciplinary team charged with educating learners in the outpatient clinic environment, this person would be expected to provide feedback and evaluation, both formally and informally, of learners working in obstetrics and gynecology.
Administrative Activities - As an OHSU faculty member this position would be required to participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level, and serve on OHSU committees and in other activities as requested by the department chair or division head in furtherance of division, department, or OHSU goals and objectives.
