Associate Scientific Directors provide strategic direction and ensure program content aligns with clients' objectives, delivering high-quality work that exceeds expectations. They oversee junior medical affairs staff, serve as scientific/medical leads across business segments, and collaborate across divisions to ensure strategic and scientific excellence in various therapeutic categories and brands.
Key Responsibilities
- • Expected to oversee/manage and serve as a mentor to scientific associates and associate medical directors
- • Provides strategic insights and contributes to strong execution of initiatives
- • Actively participates in new business opportunities within the division and across the network when needed
- • Act as an opinion leader and initiate new relationships to drive appropriate communication strategies and content
Required
- • Strong medical background (MD, PharmD, or PhD required)
- • 2+ years of relevant agency experience is a must – preferably both promotion and medical education
- • Demonstrated ability to oversee/mentor other team members in a highly collaborative environment to develop and execute educational programs for clients
- • Strong strategic, analytical skills and effective problem-solving skills
- • Must also be able to exercise positive judgment to assess situations, evaluate options and make decisions and draw conclusions

You will oversee the work of more junior medical affairs staff, will serve as the scientific/medical lead across pieces of business, and will participate in collaborations with other divisions within the network.
