Job Purpose The primary responsibility of the Sr. Medical Manager (SMM) is to support the implementation of the national medical affairs strategy for development of the assigned tasks. SMM supports the therapeutic area leads (Medical Directors (MDs)), supports MDs in working closely with key opinion leaders, supports data generation, implements publication plans and supports the commercial teams. The SMM works to shape patient care through Pharmacosmos’ medicines, research and customer services excellence.
Duties And Responsibilities
Within the assigned tasks, the SMM is expected to
- Support medical strategy and execution of assigned tasks
- Serve as the subject matter expert and support medical and commercial teams
- Identify areas of development, input into medical plans and support the execution of the medical affairs strategy by supporting actions that lead to advances ensuring optimal patient treatment.
- Support gap analyses to identify and optimize future indication and utilization potential of our products.
- Provide education and training of both field commercial and field medical teams as needed
- Support Scientific Communications and RWE with data generation and publication plan, including authorship.
- Taylor downstream scientific communication plans to medically segmented audiences
- Support the utilization of the thought leader pool to support medical affairs initiatives.
- Support the development and roll-out of educational concepts focusing on Pharmacosmos Therapeutics’ therapeutic area(s) awareness and screening, guideline recommendation and therapies.
- Support field medical insight analyses and communication.
- Provide scientific support for the MDs in the development of materials by Medical, Marketing, and/or Market Access and ensure alignment against Medical strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key external stakeholders, such as professional societies, patient organizations and relevant institutions.
- Support strategy and tactics for assigned National Accounts.
- Support the medical affairs congress strategies.
- Support the strategy and execution of medical advisory boards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, DO, PharmD, PA, NP with hematology clinical experience preferred).
- 1-3 years of Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry preferred,
- Working knowledge of the clinical development process and the ICH-GCP guidelines preferred.
