Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery

The role involves expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with responsibilities including medical and surgical treatment of cosmetic and reconstructive facial cases. The successful candidate will also co-direct the facial plastics fellowship program and engage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching responsibilities may include medical student, resident and fellow education as well as formal lecture opportunities.
  • Serve as Co-Director of the facial plastics fellowship program.
  • Medical and surgical treatment of cosmetic and reconstructive cases for the face including Rhinoplasty, Facelift, Neck Lift, Brow Lift, Blepharoplasty, Otoplasty and facial reconstruction post MOHS.
  • Development of programs in facial nerve reanimation and gender affirming surgery are strongly encouraged.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, program development, quality improvement initiatives and innovation in delivery of care is required.
Required
  • Must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Must be fellowship trained in the field of facial plastic/reconstructive surgery.
  • Board certified or board eligible.
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Must be fellowship trained in the field of facial plastic/reconstructive surgery and board certified or board eligible.
