The neurologist will provide direct patient care, oversee and interpret EEGs/EMGs, and complete e-consults and e-reviews in an outpatient clinic setting. The role includes designing clinical workflows to improve access to care, supporting evidence-based practice, and improving efficiency while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and serving as an attending to learners and supervising advanced practice providers.
Key Responsibilities
- • Performs neurology consultations, EEG/EMG procedures, e-consults, and e-reviews in an outpatient clinic setting.
- • Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on the patient’s condition.
- • Diagnoses and treats diseases, disorders, and injuries based on the patient’s medical history and physical assessment results.
- • Prescribes medications and referrals for treatment and preventative care.
- • Instructs patients and their families regarding procedures performed, home care, and follow-up visits.
- • Directs and supervises advanced practice providers as needed.
- • Helps design clinical workflows to improve access to care, support evidence-based practice, and improve efficiency.
- • Actively communicates with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner in person and on the phone.

- • M.D or D.O degree with Board Certification (or Board Eligibility if within 2 years of residency) in Internal Medicine and Neurology
- • 5 years of clinical experience with 2 years of leadership/mentorship experience

Central Health is looking for a skilled neurologist to join their expanding team and provide care to the underserved community in Travis County.
The role involves providing direct patient care and overseeing and interpreting EEGs/EMGs. Additionally, the neurologist will also complete e-consults and e-reviews in an outpatient clinic setting as required.
In this position, the neurologist will help design clinical workflows to improve access to care, support evidence-based practice and improve efficiency. This role will serve as both an attending to learners at various levels and may supervise advanced practice providers.
As a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, the neurologist will collaborate closely with the patient to jointly improve their quality of life. This is a full-time outpatient clinical role that involves direct clinical sessions, divided between ambulatory visits, e-consults/reviews, and the conduction of EEGs/EMGs. Ten percent of clinical time is allocated to administrative tasks.
