<p>We are looking for a <strong>Research Mentor </strong>to support high-achieving students through the development and completion of original research projects across medicine, science, psychology, and related disciplines. If you hold an MD and/or PhD and are passionate about mentorship, this role is an excellent fit! <strong>This is a part-time, remote, 1099 contract role that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Mentor students through the full research process, from topic selection and study design to execution and final deliverables</li>
<li>Guide students in developing feasible, high-quality research questions aligned with their academic and career goals</li>
<li>Provide structured feedback on research plans, data interpretation, and written drafts</li>
<li>Help students understand research standards, ethics, and discipline-specific expectations</li>
<li>Support students pursuing outcomes such as academic papers, posters, or journal submissions, depending on program scope</li>
<li>Track progress against defined milestones and timelines to ensure consistent forward momentum</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>MD and/or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., medicine, biomedical sciences, psychology, public health, or related disciplines)</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience conducting academic, clinical, or applied research</li>
<li>Strong background in research design, data analysis, and writing</li>
<li>Experience mentoring students, trainees, or junior researchers</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Strong planning, organization, and project management skills</li>
<li>A passion for mentorship and student development</li>
