Doctor Advisor

This part-time, remote consulting role involves serving as a liaison between healthcare providers and MedResolutions, educating physicians on claims recovery and the Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process. The advisor provides practical guidance, coordinates communication, and occasionally reviews high-value case details to support successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Occasionally review high-value case details to support strong outcomes
Required
  • Strong network in healthcare, especially with independent physician groups, specialty practices, and practice administrators
  • Credible clinical background (MD/DO preferred) with the ability to communicate effectively with physicians and executive practice leadership
  • Experience building trust quickly and driving onboarding through warm introductions and early-stage conversations
  • Strong judgment and attention to detail when reviewing high-value case context and identifying missing documentation
  • Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple provider threads simultaneously in a remote environment
  • Self-directed, outcomes-oriented, and comfortable operating in a consulting capacity with minimal supervision
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive provider and claim information (HIPAA mindset)
Preferred
  • Experience in emergency medicine, anesthesia, radiology, orthopedics, surgery, or other specialties with frequent out-of-network exposure
  • Working knowledge of revenue cycle, payer dynamics, and out-of-network reimbursement (NSA/IDR familiarity a plus)

Role Description:

This is a consulting, part-time Doctor advisor role with a remote-first setup and minimal time commitment. You will serve as a key liaison between healthcare providers and MedRes, educating physicians on our claims recovery approach and the IDR process. You will provide practical guidance, coordinate communication between providers and the MedResolutions team, and occasionally review high-value case details to support strong outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Strong network in healthcare, especially with independent physician groups, specialty practices, and practice administrators
  • Credible clinical background (MD/DO preferred) with the ability to communicate effectively with physicians and executive practice leadership
  • Experience building trust quickly and driving onboarding through warm introductions and early-stage conversations

Compensation:

An hourly consulting rate and performance-based incentives tied to successful onboarding and outcomes. For advisors who commit to ongoing participation and consistently drive qualified provider introductions, an additional equity component may be offered (advisory equity, vesting monthly over 12–24 months with a short cliff), structured based on seniority and contribution.
