About
The proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine at Xavier University (XUCOM) invites applications for full-time, 12-month inaugural Biomedical Science Faculty positions beginning Summer 2026. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new medical school from the ground up with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary education, community engagement, and academic excellence. Candidates should be passionate about medical education and ready to contribute to an integrated, systems-based curriculum that emphasizes active learning, clinical relevance, and interprofessional collaboration. We are seeking multiple full-time faculty members including but not limited to the following disciplines:
- Anatomy (including Gross Anatomy and Histology)
- Physiology
- Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
- Microbiology & Immunology
- Pharmacology
- Pathology
Duties & Responsibilities
Teaching and Mentoring
- Design, develop, and deliver basic science content within an integrated osteopathic medical curriculum.
- Facilitate active learning sessions, case-based discussions, labs, and other learner-centered educational activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with clinical and basic science colleagues to ensure horizontal and vertical integration of content.

Appointments will be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience. Options for tenure or non-tenure track are available.
This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position.
