The role involves performing liver and kidney transplantation within a nationally recognized transplant program. The surgeon will work in a fully integrated, multidisciplinary team providing high-volume transplant services with top-tier patient and graft survival outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- • Independently perform deceased donor liver and kidney transplantation
- • Perform liver transplantation and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy’s
- • Work in a consensus model with a group of hepatologists, nephrologists, and transplant surgeons with low resident participation
Required
- • Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery
- • Completion of an ASTS-accredited abdominal transplant fellowship
- • Eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license
- • Ability to independently perform deceased donor liver and kidney transplantation
- • Proficient in liver transplantation and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy’s
Preferred
- • Experienced physicians preferred and new graduates will be considered
- • Desire to work in a consensus model of very experienced group of hepatologists, nephrologists, and transplant surgeons with low resident participation
