Transplant Surgeon Physician

The role involves performing kidney and pancreas transplant surgeries, including living and deceased donor kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation, and laparoscopic and/or robotic donor nephrectomy. The position requires fostering strong relationships with consulting and referring physicians and contributing to a high-volume transplant program.

Required
  • Board certified / eligible in abdominal transplant and general surgery by the American Board of Surgery
  • Must be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster strong relationships with consulting and referring physicians
Preferred
  • Skillset and dedicated interest in living and deceased donor kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation, and laparoscopic and/or robotic donor nephrectomy
  • Robotic Kidney transplantation experience
  • Applications from ASTS Fellows completing training in 2026 welcome

Job Summary:

Medical City Fort Worth Transplant Institute is seeking a Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Surgeon to join their premier program in Fort Worth, TX.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Board certified / eligible in abdominal transplant and general surgery by the American Board of Surgery
  • Must be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas
  • The competitive candidate should possess a skillset and dedicated interest in living and deceased donor kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation, and laparoscopic and/or robotic donor nephrectomy.
  • Robotic Kidney transplantation experience would be of interest
