The Physician provides clinical treatment for hospitalized patients, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient care. Responsibilities include making daily rounds, conducting history and physical examinations within 12 hours of patient assignment, and managing medical crises when the attending physician is unavailable.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provides professional medical services to patients while they are hospitalized and arranges for necessary follow-up care upon discharge from the Hospital.
- • Makes daily rounds on all patients assigned to the Hospitalist Program.
- • Conducts a history and physical examination within twelve (12) hours of the patient’s assignment to the Hospitalists’ Program and have the history and physical note dictated within 24 hours of admission.
- • For patients admitted through the Nocturnal Hospitalists Program, Physician shall dictate the admission note on the stat line upon admission.
- • Provides physician services to medical patients who are admitted to the Hospital by their attending physician as necessary to manage a medical crisis or change in the patient’s medical condition if the patient’s attending physician is not on the premises or is otherwise unavailable.
- • Physician shall consult with the patient’s attending physician as necessary in a timely fashion.
Required
- • Must have a current and valid license to practice in the state of New York.
- • Hold and maintain current, valid and unrestricted federal and state registrations to prescribe and dispense controlled substances.
- • Must attain active staff Medical Staff membership and clinical privileges appropriate to duties & responsibilities.
- • Must complete Medical Staff credentialing at the time of hire.

Crouse’s Hospitalist Services team is hiring a Per Diem Physician to provide clinical treatment for patients in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
Pay Range: $150 / hr.
Available Schedule(s): Days, evenings and nights - six and nine-hour shifts
Physician Position Responsibilities
