Moonlighter, Pediatriac Infectious Disease

The physician is responsible for meeting, assessing, and diagnosing patients in a children's hospital setting and providing healthcare services that meet state and national caregiving standards. They prescribe appropriate medication, health regimens, and lifestyle adjustments to aid recovery, prevent future health issues, and promote healthier lives.

Required
  • Board BE/BC in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics
  • Completion of an ACGME Accredited Fellowship program, per subspecialty requirements
  • Board BE/BC in subspecialty, if applicable
  • Ability to be successfully credentialed by both Hospital and 3rd Party Payers
  • Must have an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from another country with a current Minnesota Medical License or the ability to obtain one
  • Clinical competency and expertise in caring for hospitalized children
  • Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications
  • In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Respect for patient's confidentiality
  • Compassionate and approachable
  • Responsible and trustworthy

Position Summary

The person in the physician role will be responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients in a children's hospital setting and provide them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. Responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and/or promote a healthier life.

License/Certification/Registration required:

  • Board BE/BC in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Completion of an ACGME Accredited Fellowship program, per subspecialty requirements.
  • Board BE/BC in subspecialty, if applicable. Ability to be successfully credentialed by both Hospital and 3rd Party Payers.

When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.
