The Psychiatrist will provide high-quality mental health care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of psychiatric disorders primarily in an outpatient setting with some consult-liaison hospital work. The role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to care for patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide high-quality mental health care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of psychiatric disorders
- • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- • Develop individualized treatment plans
- • Monitor patient progress and adjust medications or therapies over time
- • Collaborate with psychotherapists, primary care physicians, specialists, social workers and care coordinators to provide multidisciplinary psychiatric care
- • Participate in Graduate Medical Education (GME) activities
- • Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- • Contribute to community outreach and mental health education programs
Required
- • An MD or DO
- • Board eligible or certification in Psychiatry
- • Existing or Eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS required

The physician will collaborate with psychotherapists, primary care physicians, specialists, social workers and care coordinators to provide multidisciplinary psychiatric care to patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions.

Our Behavioral Health program currently includes a multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and support staff. The role is a full-time clinical position with predominantly outpatient responsibilities with a portion of time devoted to hospital-based consult-liaison services.
Compensation And Benefits
- Salary range of $269,470 - $280,500
