This role involves supervising 2-3 psychiatric residents in an adult inpatient care setting, including assessments, milestones, and evaluations. The psychiatrist will diagnose psychiatric conditions, prescribe medications, participate in treatment planning, and provide care for dually diagnosed clients while collaborating closely with facility staff.
Key Responsibilities
- • Supervising 2-3 residents for inpatient care
- • Assessments, milestones and evaluations of the residents
- • Interviewing and examining clients to diagnose psychiatric conditions and determine appropriate treatment.
- • Referring clients to appropriate treatment resources.
- • Participating in treatment planning and case conferences.
- • Prescribing psychiatric medications and collaborating closely with facility staff.
- • Monitoring and documenting treatment progress.
- • Preparing comprehensive records, reports, and required documentation.
- • Participating in meetings, programs, and multidisciplinary processes.
- • Providing psychiatric care for dually diagnosed clients, including participation in treatment reviews and service authorizations.
- • Attending and supervising, guiding and leading, psychiatry residents
- • Covering Psychiatric patients in the ED – (including ICU, med surge, OB floor) for comorbid medical patients
Required
- • Board certified Psychiatric Physician (MD or DO)
- • Experience with adult inpatient populations
- • Strong collaboration, documentation, resident training interest
- • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient centered psychiatric care

Staff Psychiatrist – Adult Inpatient Care
Responsibilities
- Supervising 2-3 residents for inpatient care
- Assessments, milestones and evaluations of the residents
- Interviewing and examining clients to diagnose psychiatric conditions and determine appropriate treatment.
- Referring clients to appropriate treatment resources.
- Participating in treatment planning and case conferences.
- Prescribing psychiatric medications and collaborating closely with facility staff.
- Monitoring and documenting treatment progress.
- Preparing comprehensive records, reports, and required documentation.
- Participating in meetings, programs, and multidisciplinary processes.
- Providing psychiatric care for dually diagnosed clients, including participation in treatment reviews and service authorizations.
- 7 on / 7 off rotating schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM PT).
- Attending and supervising, guiding and leading, psychiatry residents
- Covering Psychiatric patients in the ED – (including ICU, med surge, OB floor) for comorbid medical patients
- No call
- EMR – Tenzing
