The physician will join a team providing inpatient palliative care consultations at a 295-bed community hospital, focusing on goals of care, family meetings, and complex symptom management. The role includes leadership responsibilities, oversight of APPs, and involvement in education for fellows and APPs within a diverse interdisciplinary team.

- • Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine

The whole palliative inpatient division is composed of seven physicians, twelve APPs, six LCSWs and chaplains over seven hospitals. The department has two fellowships, a one-year ACGME physician fellowship with two positions and a one-year APP fellowship with two positions. The position does require that the physician provide rotations at the East Campus for our fellows.
Requirements Of The Position Include
- Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and desire to grow with the program
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.
- Comfort level with overseeing APP’s (APRN/PA)
- Comfort with education (Fellows/APPs)

AdventHealth East Orlando is a 295-bed full service community hospital. We are proud to serve approximately 180,000 patients annually, which include more than 16,500 inpatients and 79,330 outpatients at AdventHealth East Orlando. In addition, our emergency visits totaled over 130,000 in 2018.
As a part of one of the fastest growing communities in Central Florida, our hospital caters to the east Orange County population. This market consists of the popular Waterford Lakes, Avalon Park, Lake Nona and University of Central Florida areas.
AdventHealth East Orlando is the primary campus for approximately 275 physicians who can utilize our four, new inpatient surgical suites as well as our new technologically advanced 13,500 square foot Outpatient Surgery Center.
