This role serves as the primary expert and contact for medical and scientific matters related to bradykinin-mediated angioedema in North America. It involves leveraging medical information from various stakeholders to inform strategic decisions, developing medical education programs, presenting scientific data, and collaborating on medical affairs strategy and data generation.
Key Responsibilities
- • Serve as the primary expert and contact for in-depth medical/scientific matter related to bradykinin-mediated angioedema in North America to external and internal stakeholders.
- • Leverage and analyze medical information obtained from HCPs, patients, payers, and other stakeholders and translate them into actionable insights informing strategic and operational decisions and execution of medical projects.
- • Develop and implement medical education programs and educational materials for HCPs and patients as well as provide Medical Affairs support to development of promotional programs (e.g., speaker program).
- • Present scientific and medical data at North America Medical Affairs events, such as advisory boards, Investigators’ meetings, and during scientific exchanges with external stakeholders, including HCPs, Investigators, payers.
- • Collaborate with the Head of North America Medical Affairs, contribute to the execution of the Medical Affairs strategy for bradykinin-mediated angioedema in the region, aligned with the global strategies and company’s mission and objectives, ensuring the field team (Medical Affairs/ Commercial) receives needed HAE training and support.
- • Build and nurture relationships with external stakeholders (including HCPs, healthcare institutions, payers, and advocacy groups) in the bradykinin-mediated angioedema landscape.
- • Partner with Evidence and Outcomes Research and Clinical Development to develop the data generation strategy for North America to address identified medical/scientific data gaps in close collaboration and alignment with North America Medical Experts.
Required
- • Advanced scientific degree in life sciences (MD, PhD, PharmD – MD is a plus).
- • At least 7+ years in U.S. Medical Affairs in Pharma/Biotech industry, including roles as Medical Lead/Advisor for rare conditions at the time of pre-launch preparation and launch execution.
- • Strong experience in acting as subject matter expert of medical-related content to address inquiries of external and internal stakeholders.
- • Proven ability to interact efficiently with both scientific/medical as well as commercial functions to translate data and evidence into medical and cross-functional strategy-aligned, accurate, balanced, and stakeholder-relevant information.
- • Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships and partnerships with Key Medical Experts, clinicians, and researchers through scientific engagement and translate medical insights into actionable information addressing stakeholders’ unmet needs.
- • Readiness to travel to the degree appropriate to support the business of the team, primarily within North America. Average travel time estimated up to 30% on a monthly basis at the time of specific events.
Preferred
- • Experience in Allergy/Immunology and/or specifically in Hereditary Angioedema.
- • Experience in Outcome Research and in interactions and partnership with Managed Care Professionals.

As we are expanding the global Medical Affairs team, we are looking for a North America Medical Affairs Lead, to join our team and report to the Head of Medical Affairs North America.
Location
At Pharvaris we promote and enable a flexible hybrid work environment, where our employees choose from where (and, to some extent, when) they prefer to work. Whilst this is a remote/hybrid role, you must be in the U.S. (Greater Boston area strongly preferred).

About the Compensation
The base salary range for this role is determined based on several factors. These include, but are not limited to, job accountability; skill sets; experience and training; certifications; work location; competitive market rates and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the hiring range (Annual Base Salary) for this role is $230,000-$260,000.
In addition to base salary, we provide an opportunity to participate in an annual short-term (bonus) and long-term (equity) incentive program. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts and a 401(k) with a company match.
