Provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care including exams, diagnosis, treatment of eye injuries, and surgical procedures such as cataract, laser, and corneal repairs. Manage patient care with prescriptions and post-operative follow-up, maintain detailed electronic health records, assist with coding and billing, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Opportunity to focus on subspecialties like retina, glaucoma, or oculoplastic.
Key Responsibilities
- • Perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose diseases, and treat eye injuries.
- • Perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, laser surgery, and corneal repairs.
- • Prescribe medication, eyeglasses, and contact lenses, and provide post-operative care.
- • Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR), assist with coding/billing, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- • May focus on subspecialties such as retina, glaucoma, or oculoplastic.
Required
- • Medical Degree (MD/DO).
- • Active license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
- • Board certified or actively pursuing board certification.
- • Knowledge of, or experience with, OCT, corneal topography, and visual field testing.
- • Strong microsurgical skills for delicate eye surgeries.
