Key Responsibilities
- • Work in a team-based environment alongside Certified Nurse Midwives, Advanced Practice Providers, Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, residents, students, and Family Medicine physicians.
- • Provide care at a busy tertiary care center delivering approximately 2,400 babies annually and serving as the primary referral hub for high-risk pregnancies within the Mayo Clinic Health System network.
- • Manage a diverse and intellectually stimulating patient population including national and international referrals and specialized services like fetal surgery.
- • Perform OB hospitalist shifts and outpatient clinic duties.
- • Collaborate with a highly collaborative team of physicians, nurse midwives, APPs, specialists, nurses, and support staff with an emphasis on mutual respect, inclusivity, and teamwork.
- • Lead and contribute to initiatives that promote a culture of belonging for patients and colleagues, honoring diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
- • Engage in clinical and research development opportunities within an academic institution.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking a full-time obstetrician to join our dynamic and collaborative team at the renowned Family Birth Center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a team-based environment alongside Certified Nurse Midwives, Advanced Practice Providers, Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, residents, students, and Family Medicine physicians. Our busy, tertiary care center delivers approximately 2,400 babies annually, and serves as the primary referral hub for high-risk pregnancies within the Mayo Clinic Health System network, which encompasses over 6,000 deliveries each year. With a focus on national and international referrals, as well as specialized services like fetal surgery, our practice provides a diverse and intellectually stimulating patient population. This position includes both OB hospitalist shifts and outpatient clinic responsibilities.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is composed of over 40 board-certified physicians who provide comprehensive care to a diverse and complex patient population, including regional, national, and international patients. Our department encompasses all OB/Gyn subspecialties, supports 20 residents and 16 fellows, and offers six ACGME-accredited fellowship programs. Compensation Detail
The minimum starting salary for Surgical specialties may range from $290,000 to $830,500. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
