CHILD PSYCHIATRIST

The General Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive mental health care including assessments, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic interventions in an outpatient setting. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality psychiatric care and support patient outcomes through individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic modalities.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, therapists, psychiatric NPs and primary care providers, to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and continuing education activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
  • Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies.
  • Participates in planning and administrative decisions affecting program’s treatment approaches, technology, and quality of care.
  • Work on integration of behavioral health and primary care through Collaboration Model
  • Will be required to achieve productivity standards as set forth and outlined by department
  • Performs psychiatric reviews of charts and treatment plans.
  • May supervise psychiatric NP
  • Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
Required
  • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry; valid state medical license. Board-certified is required
  • Skills: Strong clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with EHR systems; ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in general office
  • Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English.
Preferred
  • Prior experience in an outpatient psychiatric setting is preferred but not required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office is a plus
  • Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) preferred
  • Fluency in other languages are an asset.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Psychiatrist to join our outpatient medical team. The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive mental health care, including assessments, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic interventions for a diverse patient population. This role focuses on offering high-quality psychiatric care in a supportive outpatient environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
