OSF HealthCare
The division of Pediatric Otolaryngology seeks a fourth surgeon to join a tertiary hospital practice offering a broad spectrum of surgical interventions including airway repair, sinus surgery, cochlear implantation, and more. The role involves outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, participation in multidisciplinary clinics, and opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows through an academic affiliation.
Key Responsibilities
- • Conduct routine examinations, diagnose and treat various ENT conditions using minimally invasive techniques
- • Perform surgical procedures such as myringotomy, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and nasal surgery
- • Provide inpatient consultation to pediatrics, PICU, CVICU, and a level 3 NICU
- • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics through an integrated space adjacent to the clinic
- • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students through affiliation with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria
- • Collaborate with other pediatric specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans for complex cases
- • Utilize the Jump Trading and Simulations Center for teaching and research
- • Provide compassionate, high quality, patient-centered care
- • Demonstrate positive working relationships and collaborative team-oriented behaviors with staff physicians, nurses, other departments, and medical staff
Required
- • Physician Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in current state
- • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable
- • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies)
- • Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges
- • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
- • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage

The division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital of Illinois (CHOI) is looking for a fourth surgeon to join their tertiary hospital practice. CHOI is a tertiary hospital and the home for University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP). The division currently has two fellowship trained surgeons and offers a broad spectrum of surgical interventions including open and endoscopic airway repair, navigated sinus surgery, endoscopic choanal atresia repair, cochlear implantation, bone anchored hearing aids, and ossicular chain reconstruction. In addition to outpatient clinics the division also provides inpatient consultation to pediatrics, PICU, CVICU, a level 3 NICU.
We also participate in Multidisciplinary clinics through an integrated space adjacent to our clinic. Unique to our base hospital is Jump Trading and Simulations Center, a large 168000 sq foot simulation center with support for teaching and research. - Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $534,000 - $565,000.
- Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.
