West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurosurgery in the WVU School of Medicine are seeking a neurosurgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for Princeton Community Hospital. The practice will focus on all aspects of spinal neurosurgery but include general neurosurgery as part of a busy neurosurgical group belonging to the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Princeton, WV.

Princeton Community Hospital is a non-profit, 203-bed acute care multispecialty medical facility serving a 10-county region in southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia. The Neurosurgery practice at Princeton Hospital will be focused on delivering high quality spine care to the residents in Southeastern West Virginia. The WVU Department of Neurosurgery currently staffs Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV, which will be the nearest Neurosurgery practice in the state. The Princeton practice will work closely with its partners in Charleston. The WVU Department of Neurosurgery performed >5,500 procedures last year around the health system.
The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care, education, and research institute providing neurological and mental healthcare through more than 300,000 visits annually. The 300+ physicians and scientists of the RNI improve lives by pioneering advances in neuroscience, brain health, and therapeutics. The RNI team uses the latest technologies with academic, government, and industry partners to make tangible progress to combat public health challenges ranging from addiction to Alzheimer’s disease. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed a neurosurgery residency program and must be board certified/eligible in neurosurgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
