Physician, Primary Care (Family Medicine), Napa, CA
The Primary Care Physician will support the expansion of NorthBay Health's Center of Primary Care into the Napa Region, providing outpatient family medicine services. The role involves delivering compassionate, personalized care with access to a collaborative team and state-of-the-art resources, focusing on accessible and patient-centered primary care.
Key Responsibilities
- • Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
- • Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
- • Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities
- • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
- • Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient
- • Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary
- • Represents the practice at Hospital committees in such a manner that the burden of attending the meetings is reasonably distributed among all of the physicians in the group
- • Collaborate and manage APPs
Required
- • MD or DO degree
- • Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
- • Proven experience in a primary care setting
- • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

We are expanding into the Napa, California Region, this role will support our Center of Primary Care expansion into Napa Region.

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Outpatient only
- Call Ratio: Balanced call ratio split between physicians and sites
- Daily Patient Census: 18 patients per day
- Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive resources
