Physician provides assessment, management and outcome evaluation for patients in outpatient settings. Educates patients, families and staff while delivering patient-centered care with compassion and excellence in an urgent care plus practice.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide assessment, management and outcome evaluation for patients’ outpatient settings
- • Educate patients, families and staff
- • Diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities including symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures
- • Write routine reports and correspondence
- • Work in a fast-paced, customer-service-driven environment
- • Work independently and productively with minimum supervision
- • Work 12-hour shifts requiring evenings from 8 am to 8 pm and Sundays from 8 am to 6 pm
- • Fulfill three shifts per week (156 shifts annually)
- • Participate in weekend rotation requirement
Required
- • A medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
- • Board certification in family or internal medicine/peds
- • Eligibility for licensure in Kentucky
- • Possess knowledge to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
- • Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence
- • Familiarity with EMR systems
- • Have excellent judgment and discretion, the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- • Be a team player with a 'can-do' attitude
- • Ability to work independently and productively with minimum supervision
- • Shifts are 12-hour and require evenings, 8 am to 8 pm (Sundays 8 am to 6 pm)
- • Three shift requirement per week (156 shifts annually)
- • Weekend rotation requirement
Preferred

- • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system

Job Description
University of Louisville Physicians is currently seeking a BE/BC family medicine or internal medicine/peds physician to join an urgent care plus practice in Louisville. KY. We are seeking highly skilled and experienced candidates committed to teamwork, communication, empowerment, and quality of care. The ideal candidate would provide standard care for patients of all ages.
The clinic location for this opportunity is at 9409 Shelbyville Road, Suite 104.
Requirements And Qualifications
A medical degree from an accredited school of medicine; board certification in family or internal medicine/peds and eligibility for licensure in Kentucky are required. Clinical experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine is preferred.
- Possess knowledge to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
- Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Should be familiar with EMR systems. Familiarity with EPIC is preferred; however, onsite EMR training will be provided
- Have excellent judgment and discretion, the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
