Primus Pharmaceuticals
The Medical Affairs & Health Policy Advocate leads the development and execution of scientific communication and medical education initiatives to deliver accurate, impactful, and compliant information to healthcare professionals, patients, and other key external audiences. This role partners with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to translate complex medical and health policy landscapes into clear insights that inform strategy and decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- • Serve as a medical and health policy thought partner across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Government Affairs, and Commercial teams
- • Monitor, interpret, and translate U.S. healthcare policy, reimbursement, and regulatory trends into actionable business insights.
- • Help shape evidence strategy, value narratives, and policy positioning for pipeline and marketed products
- • Educate a range of external stakeholders to support Primus products and drive sales from physicians to legislators.
- • Develop and manage marketing and professional relations plans as well as clear, compliant medical and policy materials (briefs, FAQs, presentations, responses)
- • Engage with external stakeholders including HCPs, payers, policymakers, and advocacy groups
- • Support cross-functional planning and decision-making in a fast-moving, resource-lean environment
- • Ensure all activities meet legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements
Required
- • Proven leadership, delf-driven, yet empathetic
- • Positive outlook, high integrity and believe in doing what is best for patients.
- • Experience in Medical Affairs, Health Policy, professional relations, marketing, Government Affairs, Market Access, or related pharma, biotech, clinical nutrition, or medical device roles
- • Solid understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, community-based medical practice, reimbursement pathways, and policy landscape
- • Ability to simplify complex scientific and policy topics for diverse audiences
- • Comfortable working in ambiguity and building processes as you go without relying on big pharma paradigms and processes
- • Strong collaboration skills, great work ethic, and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset
Preferred
- • Advanced degree preferred (MD, PharmD, PhD, MPH, or equivalent)
