Provide on-site medical care at correctional facilities including Onondaga County Correctional Facility and Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center. This role involves delivering comprehensive medical services in a correctional health care setting, blending elements of Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, and Addiction Medicine.
Required
- • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
- • Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- • Board Certified or Board Eligible
- • Maintain current DEA number and eligible to prescribe medications in New York state
- • Maintain active BLS (i.e., CPR) certification
- • Maintain current Driver’s License
Preferred
- • Specialty training preferred in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Correctional Medicine, and/or Urgent Care

Professional Care provides comprehensive medical & mental health care services in the state of New York.
Correctional health care is a unique, challenging, and exciting opportunity for today’s medical professional in that it provides the ability to truly utilize all of your learned medical skills and knowledge on a daily basis. It is the perfect hybrid of Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, and Addiction Medicine; providing care to an under-served, diverse, and appreciative patient population.
We are currently looking for a Part Time - Physician / Medical Director to join our team and provide on-site medical care at the Onondaga County Correctional Facility in Jamesville, NY and Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center in Syracuse, NY.
This part-time position requires 16 hours of on-site care per week. Full time option available!

Requirements
