This role involves providing outpatient family medicine care with an average of 18-22 patients per day, focusing on patient-centered care without inpatient responsibilities. The physician will perform general family medicine procedures and collaborate with a supportive, experienced clinical team using EPIC EMR.
Key Responsibilities
- • Average of 18-22 patients per day; no nights or weekends
- • No inpatient responsibilities
- • Hospitalist Program is responsible for serving adult and pediatric inpatients
- • Telephonic outpatient call only, no need to physically report to clinic/hospital
- • Call shared equitably by primary care providers
- • Calls are triaged through My Nurse Call Center, very minimal call volume
- • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- • Established clinic with a large team to provide support
- • General family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, etc.
- • Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
Required
- • MD or DO
- • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
- • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
- • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B exempt)

- Outpatient only practice
- 1.0 FTE with 4 1/2 day work week
- Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy
- Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
