Plastic Surgeon - Microsurgery

The role involves providing patient care, teaching fellows, residents, and medical students in plastic surgery, and participating in clinical research. The surgeon may perform a full spectrum of plastic surgery procedures including microsurgery for breast and limb reconstruction, aesthetic and body contouring procedures, and complex wound care, while contributing to a growing practice with collaborative processes for successful patient outcomes.

The Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group in Southern California is seeking board eligible/board certified plastic surgeons to join our group due to unprecedented growth in our region.

A qualified candidate will be ABPS board-certified or board-eligible, having completed residency training in an accredited plastic surgery training program. We have opportunities for surgeons interested in multiple adult subspecialty areas including microsurgery for breast and limb reconstruction, as well as aesthetic and body contouring procedures, and complex wound care. Additional subspecialty fellowship training in breast microsurgery, or microsurgery is anticipated. We are looking for someone with excellent clinical skills and an interest in research and innovation, along with an interest in teaching. The surgeon will be a full-time faculty member of our Faculty Medical Group, contributing to the education of both our integrated plastic surgery residents and medical students, and may perform the full spectrum of our specialty.

The plastic surgery residency program at Loma Linda University was one of the five original integrated residency programs approved in 1995. It has enjoyed continuous accreditation since inception.

Compensation and academic title are commensurate with experience and includes a generous package of benefits.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $350,000 - $450,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
