Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians
The physician will provide CNS coverage for well newborns at BIDMC, primarily on weekends with potential weekday coverage. Responsibilities include rounding on assigned patients, delivering direct clinical care, communicating with and educating families, and teaching Harvard Medical School students rotating through the service.

Required
- • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- • Board Certification in Pediatrics or Medicine-Pediatrics with or without subspecialty Neonatology certification is required
- • A valid MA medical license or the ability to obtain one
- • At least 5 years of newborn medicine experience
- • Excellent teaching, communication, and leadership skills
- • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Harvard Medical School
The Neonatology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a part-time physician to provide CNS (Cochran Newborn Service) coverage at BIDMC. The CNS service at BIDMC is our well newborn rounding service, and provides coverage for approximately 80% of the well newborns born at BIDMC annually. We are currently looking for physicians to provide CNS coverage on the weekends with the future possibility of weekday coverage.
In this role, the physician is expected to round on assigned patients, provide direct clinical care, and communicate with and educate families. During the week, Harvard Medical School students rotate through the service, and the physician will be expected to teach and supervise the students. The CNS is staffed daily with two physicians who round on patients on the Postpartum Neonatal Unit (PPNU).
Job Requirements

Pay Range:
$187,000 - $275,000The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
