The Preventive Medicine Specialist acts as a program-wide consultant within an integrated psychiatric treatment model, focusing on prevention, health optimization, and long-term wellness for individuals receiving mental health services. This role involves collaboration with psychiatry, therapy, nursing, and ancillary services to support clients' overall well-being through telemedicine.
Key Responsibilities
- • Serve as a preventive care consultant across the entire psychiatry program
- • Conduct comprehensive preventive medicine consultations for all mental health clients within 45 days of program admission
- • Provide expertise in disease prevention, health optimization, and longevity-focused care
- • Develop preventive and wellness-oriented treatment recommendations for psychiatrists and therapists; follow-up may be recommended as clinically indicated
- • Coordinate care with existing outpatient providers or assist clients in establishing primary care services when needed
- • Refer clients to appropriate community-based medical and wellness resources
- • Initiate, coordinate, and manage dietetic consultations in collaboration with nutrition services
- • Support functional and integrative medicine–informed optimization strategies within scope of practice
- • Oversee and interpret sleep analytics and related sleep health studies as part of integrated care
- • Act as a specialty consultant to designated program tracks, including the Health Track and Eating Disorder Track
Required
- • Licensed MD or DO
- • Board Certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine
- • Strong clinical assessment abilities
- • Competence in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple responsibilities
- • Familiarity with remote work tools, including telehealth platforms
- • Proficiency in electronic communication
- • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- • Excellent interpersonal skills
- • Meticulous attention to detail in managing client records, lab results, and medication orders
- • Understanding of HIPAA compliance, professional guidelines, and relevant state and federal regulations

Role Overview
The Preventive Medicine Specialist serves as a program-wide consultant within an integrated psychiatric treatment model. This role focuses on prevention, health optimization, and long-term wellness for individuals receiving mental health services, working collaboratively with psychiatry, therapy, nursing, and ancillary services. We are looking to hire a physician in a Full time, Part time or Contract capacity.
