The Surgical Retina Specialist is responsible for providing surgical and medical care to patients with retinal diseases and disorders. This role involves diagnosing and treating patients, performing surgical procedures, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with retinal diseases and disorders
  • Perform surgical procedures as needed
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of retinal surgery and medicine
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families
Required
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a residency in ophthalmology
  • Fellowship training in surgical retina
  • Board certification in ophthalmology
  • Licensure to practice medicine in the state of North Dakota
  • Excellent surgical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
