Medical Director - Dodson Avenue

Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of programs for the delivery of health services to patients served by the Health Centers. Participates in a team-based approach to care, coordinating patient care, supporting patients and families in self-management, and managing the practice's patient population. Engages in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of programs for the delivery of health services to patients served by the Health Centers.
  • Attends at least 75% of quarterly medical staff meetings.
  • Attends any meeting as directed by medical director or his/her designee.
  • Coordinates care for patients as per their role and responsibilities.
  • Supports patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change as per their role and responsibilities.
  • Manages the practices' patient population as per their role and responsibilities.
  • Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.
Required
  • Degree and completion of an approved residency program.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee.
  • Board certification in practice specialty.

Job Summary:

This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices' patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.

Education:
Degree and completion of an approved residency program.

Licensure:
Licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee.

Certification:
Board certification in practice specialty.
