Physician - Interventional Cardiologist - Providence
The role involves joining a collaborative group of academic cardiologists to provide invasive and interventional cardiology services, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, outpatient clinic coverage, inpatient and consult services, and participation in interdisciplinary quality initiatives. The position emphasizes clinical service, teaching duties, and offers opportunities for research and faculty mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- • Performing in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, head-up tilt table testing, and device implantations as applicable per qualifications
- • Covering a wide patient referral base in the Outpatient Cardiology Clinic
- • Providing inpatient and consult services
- • Working collaboratively with other providers, trainees, and ancillary staff on quality initiatives, including the cardiothoracic surgery Heart Team quality improvement project
Required
- • Board Certified in Cardiology
- • BC/BE in interventional Cardiology
- • Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Alabama
- • Graduation from an accredited medical school
- • Licensure with the State of Alabama board
- • Certified in clinical area
- • DEA registration
- • USA Hospital staff privileges eligible
Preferred
- • Peripheral diagnostic and interventional skills
- • Peripheral vascular ultrasound imaging experience
- • Level II training in Nuclear Cardiology

USA Health is seeking a board certified invasive, interventional cardiologist to join a collaborative group of academic cardiologists. The division includes an established cardiovascular disease fellowship training program, an ICAEL accredited Echo lab and an ICANL accredited Nuclear Lab, and the regions only Level I Trauma Center. Cardiac invasive and interventional services and a comprehensive cardiac surgery program are available. Commitment to clinical service and teaching duties are the highlights of this position. Research opportunities and faculty mentoring are also available.

Preferred Skills: Peripheral diagnostic and interventional skills, peripheral vascular ultrasound imaging experience, Level II training in Nuclear Cardiology
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited medical school, licensure with the State of Alabama board, certified in clinical area, and DEA registration. USA Hospital staff privileges eligible.
