The Medical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight for a telehealth team of advanced practice providers, combining hands-on patient care with strategic mentorship and quality assurance. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based, integrative, and functional medicine care in a virtual environment dedicated to women's health.
Key Responsibilities
- • Serve as Collaborating Physician for APRNs
- • Provide case consultation and clinical guidance
- • Conduct monthly chart audits (minimum five per APRN) to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
- • Lead monthly 1:1 meetings and team meetings with providers
- • Support professional development and performance management
- • Conduct comprehensive telehealth consultations via secure video platforms
- • Adhere to state telemedicine regulations and documentation standards
- • Deliver patient-centered care grounded in functional and holistic medicine principles
- • Monitor, update, and refine clinical protocols and workflows
- • Submit protocol revisions to the CMO for review and approval
- • Ensure policies align with regulatory requirements and program evolution
- • Maintain oversight of B2B charts and documentation quality
- • Serve as liaison between clinical team and senior leadership
- • Communicate program updates and workflow changes to providers
- • Monitor provider communications and scheduling systems to ensure operational efficiency
- • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new APRNs
- • Update training materials and assist cross-functionally as needed
Required
- • Active, unrestricted multi-state medical licensure (in good standing). Must be licensed across multiple states including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia
- • Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related field
- • 3–5+ years of clinical practice experience
- • Minimum 1 year of telehealth experience
- • Certification or substantial training in Functional or Integrative Medicine
- • Demonstrated passion for women’s health and hormone optimization
- • Strong communication skills and comfort with digital health platforms
Preferred
- • Experience collaborating with or supervising APRNs preferred
