Boulder Care
Collaborating Physicians provide remote clinical supervision for Advanced Practice Providers, reviewing charts, meeting with Nurse Practitioners, and offering clinical guidance to support safe, evidence-based care for patients receiving treatment for opioid use disorder. They may also participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and periodic ECHO sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide remote clinical supervision for Boulder’s growing team of Advanced Practice Providers

- • Offer clinical guidance to support safe, evidence-based care for patients receiving treatment for opioid use disorder
- • Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and periodic ECHO sessions
- • Provide collaborative supervision for Nurse Practitioners as required by state regulations
Required
- • Active MD or DO license in Ohio for at least 2 years
- • Active DEA registration
- • Willingness to enter into and maintain a collaborative agreement in accordance with Ohio law
- • At least 2 years of experience managing a panel of patients receiving buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorder
- • Strong clinical diagnostic skills and familiarity with low-barrier, harm reduction-driven, evidence-based care for people who use drugs
- • Experience collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and working within an interdisciplinary care team
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Alignment with Boulder’s mission, core values, and harm reduction philosophy
- • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

About the Role
Reporting to the Associate Medical Director of Clinical Operations, Collaborating Physicians provide remote clinical supervision for Boulder’s growing team of Advanced Practice Providers. In this part-time role, you will review charts, meet individually with Nurse Practitioners as required under a collaborative agreement, and offer clinical guidance to support safe, evidence-based care for patients receiving treatment for opioid use disorder. Collaborating Physicians may also participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and periodic ECHO sessions.
Requirements for the Role
- MD or DO with an active Ohio medical license in good standing, held for at least 2 years
- Active DEA registration
- Willingness to enter into and maintain a collaborative agreement in accordance with Ohio law
- At least 2 years of experience managing a panel of patients receiving buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorder
- Strong clinical diagnostic skills and familiarity with low-barrier, harm reduction-driven, evidence-based care for people who use drugs
- Experience collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and working within an interdisciplinary care team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Alignment with Boulder’s mission, core values, and harm reduction philosophy
- This position will provide collaborative supervision for Nurse Practitioners as required by state regulations
- Number of supervisees will be determined by state requirements and the physician's licensure and capacity
- This is a fully remote role
- Office Requirements: Boulder teammates working with sensitive information must have a dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet to maintain a secure, distraction-free environment, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
This is a part-time, 1099 position with 5 to 10 hours of expected work per month.
Compensation
The pay for this position is $160 per hour
