Clinical Physician (Gwinnett County)

Serve as a provider of clinical services within state scope of practice guidelines, delivering high-quality primary care with an emphasis on preventive care, wellness, and chronic disease management. Build meaningful patient relationships through longer appointment times and smaller patient sizes in a non-traditional fee-for-service clinic offering same day acute appointments and onsite laboratory and medication services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides healthcare in collaboration with medical care team.
  • Interview patients to obtain history, perform examinations, order labs and other tests/diagnostic procedures, prescribe medications and treatments.
  • Manages cases according to established protocols.
  • Maintains case histories, medical reports, and other records.
  • Prepares treatment plans and patient education counseling.
  • Performs other duties as requested by medical care team.
  • Provide consistent and efficient customer service using empathy, compassion, and good judgement.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations to maintain patient’s rights to privacy by not discussing privileged information outside the work area and preserving the patient’s dignity at all times.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements, certifications, and licenses from the appropriate governing board (i.e. state and federal), if applicable.
  • Pursue self-improvement, becoming familiar with new policies and procedures.
  • Understand, promote and operate by overall company vision and values, goals, objectives and strategies.
  • Participate in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.
  • Promote harmony, teamwork, leadership and good supervisory and employee relations through setting a positive example.
  • Participate in training orientation and staff development programs.
  • Works amicably with leadership team in providing appropriate feedback regarding all issues including patient care, clinical issues, facility issues, operational issues and staff issues.
  • Must be willing to travel between clinics and facilities and work flexible schedule to meet clinic demands.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required
  • Graduation from an accredited undergraduate and graduate medical education programming.
  • The employee shall be licensed and meet the requirements of their corresponding State Board of Examiners.
  • License to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction of practice.
  • Current DEA license or certification.
  • Valid state/government issued identification.
  • Must be able to meet QuikMed credentialing and privileging requirements.
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical setting in primary care setting.
  • People-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
Preferred
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical setting in primary care setting.

Primary Purpose of Job: Serve as a provider of clinical services within the scope of practice guidelines set forth by the state in which care is being provided. Creating and maintaining a positive environment for patients and colleagues at QuikMed. Cares for patients under the direction of the Medical Director and in compliance with QuikMed’s philosophy as well as standards of practice and regulations of government agencies.
