This role involves providing comprehensive ophthalmic medical and surgical care with a personalized approach tailored to Alaska’s diverse population. The position requires leadership in quality improvement, clinical oversight, and staff development within a dedicated team serving the interior region of Alaska.
Key Responsibilities
- • Implement utilization and quality improvement strategies/techniques.
- • Develop medical policies, procedures, and programs.
- • Perform clinical oversight for the services provided by the organization.
- • Engage in performance management, coaching, and staff development.
- • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
- • An unrestricted and current license to practice medicine in the state of Alaska (or the ability to obtain one).
- • DEA certification.
- • Demonstrated success in implementing utilization and quality improvement strategies/techniques.
- • Substantial experience and expertise in the development of medical policies, procedures, and programs.
- • Qualifications to perform clinical oversight for the services provided by the organization including education, training, or professional experience in medical practice.
- • Excellent interpersonal communication and demonstrated ability in performance management, coaching, and staff development.
- • Demonstrated leadership skills.
- • Board Certified Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO).
